Aacres was founded in 1974 on the philosophy of providing individualized community support for people with developmental disabilities. Our belief is that our clients can live in and contribute to the community when provided appropriate support.
The ability to identify needs and build programs to fill these needs is a unique aspect of Aacres. We have pioneered several programs to fill the needs of previously unserved or underserved populations. We understand the need to develop new innovative programs that meet the changing demands of people in the community.
Aspire Human Services
Aspire Human Services formed in 2012 bringing together three experienced teams in Idaho to provide services to adults and children. Services include Supported Living in various communities throughout the state as well as multiple Intermediate Care Facilities for the Intellectually Disabled (ICF/ID).
Aspire established a reputation as a provider who can serve individuals with developmental, physical and intellectual disabilities as well as Idaho’s forensic population. Aspire has cultivated a relationship with the State of Alaska to serve residents of their state in the ICF/ID’s throughout Idaho.
Imagine Behavioral & Developmental Services
Imagine is a behavioral services organization with a history of finding better ways to support people in the community who may have challenging behaviors, developmental disabilities or mental health concerns. Imagine currently provides services to children and adults across the states of Washington and Idaho. Services include programs for children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities along with community-based programs for adults and children with or without developmental disabilities who are experiencing difficult or problem behaviors.
We work as compassionate partners with individuals, families, local and state entities and other professionals to provide the level of support needed to improve the lives of people who are struggling with challenging behaviors.
Within Washington Imagine services include building skills and managing behavior through the use of a variety of evidence-based practices. Individual services are tailored to the needs and strengths of each individual. Our teams work closely with other providers in each person’s life including their schools, health care professionals, and other therapists. Specific techniques include but are not limited to Applied Behavioral Analysis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Positive Behavioral Support. Imagine services include Behavioral Consultations, one-on-one Behavior Therapy, Behavior Modification, Family Support and Training, Skill Development, IEP support services, Training for community professionals, access to a network of providers within the community to meet their unique needs.
Integrated Development Services (IDS)
Integrated Development Services (IDS) is a mental health clinic specializing in the identification and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders from very early childhood through young adulthood. The Company has been providing Autism Spectrum Disorder services since 1999.
New Mexico Works
New Mexico Works provides adults throughout New Mexico with the services and supports they need to get a job, develop a career, and become self sufficient in today's turbulent economy. People, business, and communities all benefit from participation in the New Mexico Works program.
ReMed serves a variety of clients within its continuum of care. ReMed serves clients with Mild, Moderate and Severe Traumatic and Acquired Brain Injuries; Dual Diagnosis; Vestibular Issues; Drug & Alcohol Issues; and Behavior Issues. ReMed’s client population is served by a continuum of care that includes Residential Settings, Community Re-entry Settings, and Outpatient Services.
SL Start & Associates
SL Start is a human services organization that provides a variety of supports for children and adults in approximately 26 cities throughout Washington and Idaho. Services include programs for children with developmental disabilities, community-based programs for adults with developmental disabilities, and employment programs for people with and without disabilities.
SL Start offers a complete array of services for children and their families in Washington and Idaho. Services include building skills and managing behavior through the use of a variety of evidenced-based practices. Individual services are tailored to the needs and strengths of the child and their families.

SL Start's community living programs enable a person to gain a voice whether he or she requires minor or major support to live a full life and be integrated into the community.

SL Start's programs are tailored to each person's needs and strengths, providing the vision and training to bypass potential barriers and make gainful employment a reality.
New Mexico Works
SL Start provides workforce services to low-income families receiving Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) in 35 locations throughout New Mexico. The New Mexico Works (NMW) program provides cash assistance to eligible families and SL Start assists parents in becoming self-sufficient through employment. As the the NMW Program service provider SL Start develops individual employability plans by assessing each individual’s abilities, strengths and interests, provides case management, job development, and has a strong network of community partners for additional resources including training and education.
